If the answer to the above is yes, we’re looking for you! As T&E’s Sustainable Finance Officer you’ll join a team of motivated, highly-skilled professionals that coordinate and cooperate with more than 60 NGOs to maximise their impact.
Transport & Environment (T&E) is Europe's leading clean transport campaign group. Our people work across Europe: colleagues in Brussels, Rome, Berlin, Madrid and London collaborate with our 60 member and supporter groups to achieve our mission.
The role will involve :
● Helping to develop T&E’s priorities for/positions on legislative files in the fields of sustainable finance and EU spending;
● Meeting policymakers to present T&E positions and relevant research;
● Meeting bankers and asset managers to ensure the transition towards sustainable investments;
● Developing coalitions of like-minded stakeholders on various legislative priorities;
● Tracking EU policy-making and developing strategies that coincide with legislative opportunities;
● Participating in the events and working groups on behalf of T&E;
● Drafting briefing papers, blogs, and reports.
You have:
● An understanding of finance and economy;
● Good analytical skills, for analyzing legal texts, and keen eye for detail to spot opportunities therein;
● Good writing skills, for drafting reports and position papers.
You are:
● Patient, with good analytical skills and a strategic approach to problem-solving;
● Good with mathematics/statistics;
● Cooperative over competitive;
● Someone who values diversity, empathy and generosity;
● Genuinely passionate for environmental sustainability, climate action and democracy.
The position will be primarily based in Brussels, with the possibility of flexible working hours.
The working language is English, while fluency in other languages is desirable and appropriate language training is available.
